All votes should be counted in timely way
Alaska must make immediate and significant changes to the current ballot counting process to ensure that votes are counted in a timely manner. Alaskans should not have to wait for a month or more to find out whom they elected to public office.
The irony of so-called “early voting” in Alaska is that if you voted early, your ballot was one of the last votes counted. These ballots are basically set aside, sometimes for weeks, before they are verified and counted.
