Call or e-mail us your contact information and we will give you brief updates and alerts when the Legislature is having committee meetings on the bill.

04/16/03 - Senate Bill 119 spares APOC, but increases contribution limits and allows lobbyists to contribute outside thier own districts.

3/13/03 - Governor Murkowski has pulled the bill for now, due to pressure from citizens who want an open political process. Help us keep the pressure on!

What you can do right now:

  1. Contact your Senator and Representative and let them know that you want to keep APOC alive. (see talking points)
    E-mails:
    Representative_FirstName_LastName@legis.state.ak.us
    Senator_FirstName_LastName@legis.state.ak.us

Or send a Public Opinion Message to the entire legislature at: http://www.legis.state.ak.us/poms/
  2. Write a letter to the editor - see the talking points and the sample letter. It's a great way to make your voice heard.

    Send letters to:
Juneau Empire: streed@juneauempire.com 400 word limit
Fairbanks Daily News Miner: letters@newsminer.com 350 word limit
