Nelta is a longtime supporter and board member of AKPIRG and is especially proud of the language access, good governance and consumer protection work that AKPIRG has done in the last 50 years. She was born and raised in Alaska and made it a point to return to Alaska when she completed her studies. Nelta has worked as a sociologist in academia for more than 20 years. In her off time she likes to spend time with family and friends and pursue various outdoor activities.
