EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Indra Arriaga lives and works on Dena’ina lands. She brings decades of experience of community leadership and management to her new role at AKPIRG. Prior to joining AKPIRG, she was Strategic and Operational Director with the Alaska Institute for Justice. Her work experience in Alaska in areas such as language access, energy, and community development, inform her understanding of the complex and interconnected dynamics in the state. Indra holds a BA and MA in Political Science from St. Mary’s University in Texas. Arriaga has worked in finance, management consulting, and research and analysis.

Indra spends her free time working on art and community projects. She serves on the Boards of Perseverance Theater, and Out North.
