Philip Wight, Ph.D., primarily works as an Assistant Professor of History and Arctic Northern Studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In his part-time role as Policy Analyst with AKPIRG, Phil feels privileged to fight for the public interests of all Alaskans, especially on issues pertaining to energy equity and access, regulatory innovation, and decarbonizing Alaska’s energy systems. He is currently working with a coalition of stakeholders to bring the benefits of Community Solar to all Alaskans. He lives on Lower Tanana Dené lands in Ester, Alaska.
